The Author

"Sinca Turns Twelve: Highs and Lows of Social Media", focuses on the impact social media had on an adolescent girl. The main character, Sinca, experiences social media highs and lows after receiving her first phone as a birthday gift from her parents. Sinca experienced bullying from peers and did not receive the feedback that she expected; this caused her to have issues with her self-esteem, depression symptoms, and isolation from her friends.

Social media can be a useful tool. However, bullying on social media can cause emotional distress. Unfortunately, bullying happens more often than not and can cause those who are being bullied to experience depression, anxiety, and isolation.

This book is dedicated to all those who have felt less than at some point, due to the harshness of bullying on social media.
