LaKimala Nero

Kim comes with a wealth of knowledge in counseling & crisis intervention. She's a mother of two ages 24 and 16. 2010 graduate of Coker College with a degree in Criminology and minor Sociology. Worked in law enforcement 11 years with mental health offenders. Completed MA in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University in 2018. Career change August 2022 to pursue my passion for helping others particularly those in mental health. She currently works as a therapist at a crisis stabilization hospital. Kim's specialties are trauma, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, and adolescents. Her hobbies are traveling, cheer coaching, and reading. 

Varnell Greenaway

Varnell Greenaway has been serving the Augusta area in some capacity for many years. She is a Troy University graduate holding a master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology and a National Certified Counselor. Varnell has over 20 years in pastoral counseling and recently obtained certification for clinical pastoral education as a Chaplain from the Veterans Affairs (VA) Department—Hospital Ministry. She presently serves as a professional school counselor for the Burke County Public School System. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge in youth and adolescence services. She comes with a wealth of knowledge in crisis management, family therapy, and evidence-based practices.

Eboni Rosser

Eboni works closely with clients to ensure they have a healthy self-investment journey.… She comes with a wealth of knowledge in case management, DBT focused therapy, crisis intervention, adolescent distress skill group counseling, holistic/comprehensive case management and community resource referrals. Eboni is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University with a master's degree in Social Work.

Michelle Kaigler


Michelle is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of South Carolina and Iowa. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Kennesaw State University.  Michelle has over 8 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including outpatient  clinics, crisis intervention, and school settings. Michelle has experience working with children, adolescents, adults,  and groups. She views the counseling process as an alliance between client and therapist and considers the client as the experts of their lives. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, clients can access their inner strengths and promote change. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy,  Solution- Focused, and Faith Based Counseling (as desired). Michelle in her free time enjoys music, traveling, and spending time with her husband. 

Jaime Penn


Jaime obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN in 1996. She worked for 5yrs as a foster care case manager for the Arkansas Dept. of Human Services/Children & Family Services. She

obtained her master's degree in Counseling &Psychology with a Concentration in Community Psychology from Troy University.
Currently, Jaime is a geriatric therapist at Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health hospital in Aiken, SC.

Kayeaka Bracken


Kayeaka Bracken is a Self Mental Health Therapist whom obtained her Bachelors in Science, Psychology degree in 2015 and Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Troy University in 2022. Kayeaka has worked for the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services for 9 years in case management and has experience in community referrrals. Treatment modalities include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Kayeaka specializes in ADHD, anxiety, depression, adolescents and trauma. In her leisure time she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include dancing, creative arts, reading and writing.

Deborah Sullivan

Deborah is a Self Mental Health therapist and a Case Manager therapist at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Her goal is to help people navigate life more positively and productively, and she believes her work and life experience could benefit others. Deborah received her BS in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, MS in Human Service with a Specialization in Multidisciplinary Human Service, and course work in Mental Health Counseling. Her past professions include Developmental Evaluator, Service Coordinator, Teacher, and Case Management. She aims to further my counseling and case management career to serve others better. Deborah's hobbies included outside adventures such as riding bikes, hiking, walking, and spending time at the beach. 

Laney Dezanet


Laney Dezanet is a recent graduate from the University of South Carolina Aiken. Here she pursued her Master’s degree in Applied Clinical Psychology. She is in the process of working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. While in graduate school, Laney worked at Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health. Laney has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and groups. When Laney is not working with her clients, you can find her outside hiking, fishing, playing with her dogs, or spending time with friends and family.

Kassena Coe

Kassena is the Office Administrator for Self Mental Health. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. She comes with a knowledge of community and customer service. She is devoted to helping others get the resources and assistance they need to live a fulfilling life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, volunteering in her church, reading, and writing.
